Dangers of Overindulgence of AI-generated Tools in Worship!

Real humans - proclaimed viral gospel artists and just about anyone anywhere can use AI-generated tools to change (enhance) their voice, to produce AI-generated 'performances' to create powerful AI-driven music videos to gain 'followers'.

I have several friends who use AI to 'enhance' their music, voice, look, and outcome ...

All of this concerns me. Greatly!!

But first, what is this AI?

Artificial Intelligence or AI means a system of teaching computers to think, act, or make decisions in ways that feel human and produce programmes, responses, videos, etc. that humans can use.

Why am I concerned? Why should I be?

I believe from God's word that AI cannot rightly nor truthfully lead people in worship. Not of our LORD at least. The overuse of AI can and does have the potential to manipulate and move people in a 'worldly' way. AI is powerful! Yet, it cannot capture nor render forgiveness because forgiveness is more than a concept; it’s a God-given gift, a reality that brings restoration and new life to those who are alive and truly believe.

Thankfully AI is not alive, conscious, or endowed with a soul as we are. Although it cannot replace humanity as God created it (Gen. 1:27), it can impair our relationships, growth, interactions and engagement both with our LORD and our neighbours when ill-used.

Can Faith Thrive in an AI World?

Microsoft Copilot had this to say “Faith is rooted in human experience, emotion and the quest for meaning—things AI cannot replicate. While AI can enhance understanding, it cannot replace the spiritual connection that faith provides. Faith can thrive as long as individuals continue to seek spiritual growth and maintain their beliefs.”

This answer reminded me that our trust, our faith in what God has given us, at its core, exceeds any technology, whether AI or any other advancement. Nothing made can ever supplant the deeply personal, authentic relational and growing connection of belonging to God by following Christ. Our faith will grow and thrive as we strive and survive in our tech-driven world when we, His called-out people pursue spiritual depth within a continually growing relationship with our God and others.

What should we do then?

As true followers of Yeshua and therefore Children of Yahweh we are called to approach this technology as we are called to all parts of our life, with discernment rather than dependence. Like myriad tools in our world today, AI can assist us, but can never replace the depth of wisdom, character and spiritual worship that come through 'real and unadulterated singing of songs and hymns or other forms of learning.

We need to be reduce, as much as possible, our exposure to artificial and performance-driven songs and teaching and return to pure and holy --  'ALL' glory to Yahweh our One and only LORD God almighty! Real Worship that sits right with our spirit without missing the most critical component … the anointing Power of the Spirit of God within us. Let us run hard after this goal rather than short-term pursuits for gain or fame!

I leave you with these two quotes from the Apostle Luke and from John Dyer …

"The devil said to him, “If you are the Son of God, tell this stone to become bread.” (Luke 4:3)

The temptation of Jesus starts off innocently. Later, when Satan takes Jesus to a high place, shows him all the kingdoms of the world, and says, “If you worship me, it will all be yours” (4:7), we know that is a lie and a temptation to sin. But what about the bread? Why couldn’t Jesus have made himself some food after 40 days of fasting?

The answer seems to be that the commonality among all three temptations is to get something good (food, power, influence) by an inappropriate process and at an unhealthy accelerated time-frame. This is the same offer that often comes with our technology. Certainly, there are accelerations that are unmitigated goods, like the speed of an ambulance. But in many domains of life, from relationships to commerce to learning, new technologies promise ends without considering means, and results without effort or becoming. More than ever with AI, we must be careful not to take shortcuts that are immoral or deformative."

With great Joy, let us sing praise to our God, Yahweh; by the power of His Spirit plant good seed; and continue to grow as we follow Yeshua, His Son!

SCRABBLE

Today, April 13th is ...

~ NATIONAL SCRABBLE DAY ~

I am not a competitive person, but in everything I definitely strive for my personal best. So for me, playing Scrabble is wonderful regardless of who wins! I am just thrilled with words and formations!!πŸ€”πŸ’•

NATIONAL SCRABBLE DAY HISTORY

National Scrabble Day commemorates the birth of American, Alfred Mosher Butts, born on April 13, 1899.

Scrabble is sold in 121 countries with 29 different language versions.

Each year on National Scrabble Day April 13th recognizes a game played around the world.

Originally named Lexiko and then Criss-Cross Words, Alfred Mosher Butts eventually settled on the name Scrabble.

Alfred, an amateur artist and unemployed architect developed the word game in the midst of The Depression.

Finally, in 1948, with a final name change, some redesign and a trademark Butts finally began to produce the game.

Scrabble truly is the 'only' board game that doesn't bore me.

Words are very enjoyable to and for me and I love learning and understanding new things by reading, writing and singing. Most importantly, in my life though, is the Word of our LORD ... πŸ’žπŸ“–

Photo I took in my living room 2025

Recently I found out that there is a version called, 'Bible Scrabble' ...

Played like normal Scrabble but every word placed on the board must be found in the version of the Bible you determine at the beginning. A concordance (online or otherwise) is a very useful tool for this game. An additional rule, if the person can name a book of the Bible the word appears in they get a bonus 10 pts. And an additional 10 pts for the verse also.

I might try look this one up.

What about you, my friends? Is Scrabble a game you enjoy?
